Telling the story of your organization starts by explaining its history, structure, governance, stability, and health to the funder.

In module 1, we start the actual writing process by describing your organization in a way that highlights just how awesome you are.

The Issue/Needs Statement

The needs statement is the part of the grant application that lays out the rationale for the entire project that requires funding.

Specifically, the needs statement identifies the gap or problem within a specific community that will be addressed through this particular grant funding. This is why it is relevant to the success of the proposal.

MODULE 3

Your Solution/Project Description

Now it's time to show the funder the details of how you intend to address the needs in your community.

In this module, we'll write the fine details of your project and how you will utilize their funds to accomplish your goals.

MODULE 4

Goals, Objectives & Evaluation

This section of your proposal describes what your organization hopes to accomplish with your project. It also spells out the specific results or outcomes you plan to achieve.

Learn how to tie your goals and objectives directly to your need statement, and set realistic timelines to accomplish the objectives using the methods you described and on budget.

MODULE 5

Budget & Budget Narrative

Now that your project has been defined and detailed, it's time to show the funder where and how you will spend their funds.

In this module, we'll discuss a project budget briefly and work on your project budget narrative.

MODULE 6

Collaboration & Partners

High-quality collaborations add credibility to grant proposals. You will learn to highlight and define partnerships in your grant application.

In this module, you will introduce partners, define the relationship, process, and authority, specify contributions, sub-awards, and document the connection.

MODULE 7

Financials & Attachments

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a financial statement is worth a million. Grantors use these statements to get a picture of organizational health.

The documents you submit with your application collectively paint a picture of your organization. You cannot apply for grants without these documents. In fact, with t online grant applications, many won’t allow you to submit the request without first attaching these documents.

In this module, you will learn which are the most requested documents likely to be requested from funders.
